Merge PDF files in the right order
Prepare the source documents, combine them in the intended sequence, and check the downloaded PDF before sharing it.
A useful merged PDF is readable and in the intended order. Decide the order before combining documents, then inspect the downloaded result rather than assuming the operation made every page correct.
Prepare the source files
Keep an original copy of each document. Give files descriptive names and write down the intended sequence, such as cover, application, receipt and supporting material. If a source is password protected, make sure you have permission and an accessible version before trying to combine it.
Open the PDF merge tool from the tools directory. Follow the page's current file selection and ordering controls; supported file sizes and browser limits can change.
Check the result as a reader
Open the generated file in a PDF viewer. Confirm the first and last page, total page count, orientation, and the transition between source documents. Check text legibility and whether essential pages are present. A successful download only proves that a file was produced.
Merging is different from compressing or recognizing scanned text. If the file is too large, use a compression workflow and check the resulting quality separately. If you need searchable text from scans, look for a supported OCR workflow rather than assuming merging adds it.
Share only what is needed
Remove unnecessary personal information from the source documents before processing or distributing them. Read the specific tool's processing notice if you are working with sensitive material. If a step fails, describe the browser, file type and operation in the tools community without posting the confidential document itself.
